- Good descriptions of the many kinds of doctors, practices and specialties.
- Useful list of the needed considerations to find the right doctor.
- Emphasis on matching patient's personality and preferences to the doctor's style.
- Excellent list of questions to ask a doctor during your first visit.
- You can download a copy of this book for free.
- Doesn't allow for patients who do not have health insurance. Guidelines may not work as well.
- Considerations also may not work as well for people who live in rural areas.
- Among the considerations for finding credible websites, does not mention "follow the money."

The source for this book is Vitals.com, a doctor rating website. The book was written for promotional purposes to entice readers toward its own website for choosing a doctor, among other tools.
That said, it is well written, easy to understand, and does a credible job of helping patients choose the best doctors for their care.
My only real concern is that it does not provide enough background on the constraints, related to money, that doctors must practice under. A good understanding of the "follow the money" aspects of a doctor's practice provides patients with some of the background they need for choosing the right doctor.
