treated like a criminal
- my last pain doctor left the practice due to harassment and dea comming in office tearing through all his files. I get an appt with another pain doctor and they are denying me the medications stating because some urine test showed negative for morphine and making me go through awful withdrawal so i was drinking heavily to numb the pain suffering and ended up with alcohol posioning in er cricical condition. there was a pain paitents bill of rights passed in legislature you can look it up on net and read your rights. Pain patients need to ban topgether and have their rights and delema told to the press or protest the dea's interference in their medical care on the capital of each state. If you go to pain foundation you can start a chapter in your state and city and maybe if enough people would do this this nonsense would stop. Why should I have to suffer because someone sole their pain pills or because some idiot died from eating a pain patch which is to be applied to the skin only

refused treatment over agreement
- I had previously visited the hospital pain clinic. They wanted me to sign an agreement, which was rather intimidating, so I left. I have been lucky the past year and have not needed pain meds for my back. I just called a year later to reschedule an appointment, ready to sign the agreement, they will not even scheule an appointment because I did not sign the agreement the first time. Now I'm left with going to a clinic that is not on my insurance, which I can't afford. So I'm left in pain with no Doctor. It is inhumane to be a Doctor and refuse someone care over a piece of paper. AND No second chance either.

fired from doctor
- hello: my pain doc recently decided to stop all of my pain meds. it was due to many reasons. one, he found a post i made about him online - it wasn't even that bad/actually i praised him but said he was happier when doing injections. his nurse was lazy and didn't type in my real pain level. so he decided meds weren't working any longer. then just to be cruel - he "balckballed" me. wrote in my file that i am paranoid, prone to hallucinations and addicted. the latter he knows is not true. he wrote these things just to keep me from finding a new doc!! i plan to take him to civil court. meanwhile i am suffering. how could a "doc" be so cruel!? none of those insults he wrote are true and cannot be backed up. he knew that even w/a good refferal it would be nearly impossible to find a new pain doc. i thought he and i had a great relationship. but now he has caused me undue pain, suffering and even my heart is broken. i miss my life. i've since lost my job and cannot get off the sofa.

Local clinic denied medical treatment
- RSD, Degenerative Disc Disease, ruptured discs ans arthritis in my hips. My documented conditions overwhelm doctors. The local clinic in charge of my health care has refused to treat me and served me with a trespass warning letter. The letter denies my family access to the other services offered at the clinic that I have participated in for 18 years without incident. My family's rights have been violated. I want to sue. How do I do it?

NO DR WILL SEE ME - ST. LOUIS, MO OR IL
- I’m a 46-year old woman, suffering with chronic lower back pain for 5+ yrs. I have a bulged disk at L4, L5, degenerative. disk disease, Endometriosis; which produces back & pelvic pain, & I have a pinched nerve in the SI. My husband & I recently moved to IL. I contacted pain Dr’s in St. Louis, MO, providing them with all my records. NONE of the Dr’s will see me! How can these Dr’s that are pain mgmt. Dr’s, refuse to see someone who obviously has pain?

Doctors are not like they used to be
- When I first started seeing doctors for chronic pain they were understanding and wanted to know about you. Now all they want to do is take your money, not listen to you or learn anything about whats going on in your life, which in my opinion is so important. Doctors these days act like they walk on water. You can be easily replaced by someone else. They don't care anymore like they old doctors did. They tend to treat you like a herd of cattle, as soon has your done 15 min. max you hear room up. NEXT. I guess at $250.00 a visit you want that room with someone in it right away. Doctors just do not want to take the time with their patients most are in it only for the money. When they do not listen to their patients they are doing an injustice to them. When they take an oath to do no harm that no only means physically but putting un true notes about you in their charts will ruin a person for the rest of their lives. Doctors start listening and you may learn something from it.

Still haven't got over it
- I had a good relationship with my Doctor but after he delivered my baby I literally developed an emotional version of ocd which I don't think he recognized as ocd I think he thought I was smitten. I was so paranoid about this baby dying that I called too much I just needed reassurance so one fateful day I got a letter telling me to find another doctor I cried I really did but then I got some counseling because I knew in my heart I wasn't in love with him. I feel as though I lost a friend though because he really would ask about me through friends and family at the nursing home where my aunt worked. He has since moved out of my area and I wish I could have made ammends rather than have him think I was a crazy person. I was suffering from OCD and post traumatic stress disorder.

I have a GREAT Doctor
- My family have a wonderful Doctor who went as far to give his cell number when my 15 year old daughter was hyperthyroid and very critical as far as her heart rate being so fast. He knows when to refer, he knows my family and their medical history without looking at the chart. I thank him each time I see him for being the real deal. If not for him and his knowledge, my bsby girl who is now 22, might not be as healthy as she is and I told him if he ever moved, he had to take us with him as our trust is 200%, he has never let us down. He really deserves more thanks than he gets, but the Doctor Shopper druggies pass bad about him, but he doesn't pay any attention as he has built a great practice with those of us who appreciate his above standard of care. AND, I will just say my hats off to a Dr. Duffy in Oklahoma

Patients' confidentiality?
- Every USA patient needs to know this. HIPPA allows a doctor to talk to another health care professional about a patient. HIPPA does NOT protect patients from malicious gossip sharing or other sharing. If a HCP calls the communication:"continuation of care" he can ignore the patient's right to privacy. HIPPA allows grave abuses.

firing
- I fired my doctor because my insurance company pays his fee and that makes him my employee. So I fired him.

Rejected By A Doctor
- I am an RN and I do my research, so I suspect I was rejected by a rheumatologist because of this. My appointment was confirmed with him 6 weeks in advance. We drove an hour and a half to his office, where his staff intercepted and turned me away with no explanation....and they will not explain to the hospital administration where his office is located. I am campaigning against this doctor, as I have since heard he is horrible to deal with, and arrogant, and I'm demanding the hospital refuse his privileges in the office space. He is not a "hired" physician of theirs, but the law does cite vicarious liability of hospitals in cases of non-employed physician malpractice. Though I don't have a malpractice case, I believe physicians need to get the message that their informed and educated patients don't deserve to be abused.

I Can Tell Why!
- As a physician I can tell why most all of these patients were dismissed by their physicians or can't find one. I can tell just from their writing and their attitudes.

CODED SNAKE BITE
- tO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORTER, I am being blackballed by doctors. I was sent for a cat scan of my lung This last doctor, an oncologist, listed my condition as snake bite, I looked up the code. I know it was intentional as he had to find out the code from the office front desk person. Reason for blackballing is I was going to sue a doctor because I ended up disabled after a neck surgery. Attorney wrote to each doctor asking for copies of my medical records.Since that time I have been unable to get care, even when I have records (TEST RESULTS) that show there is a problem, no one will treat me, they say I am fine. They will not acknowledge any problems that I have. I have used "life screening" to get tests done, abnormal results, yet still doctors refuse to acknowledge. I have resorted to trickery to get tests I need, then I go back and get results asap. Not nice to be in such a position....I often think that I should just hire a thief to steal all my records from doctors offic
