H1N1 Swine Flu - Once Your Swine Flu Plan is Completed

Once you've completed your H1N1 Swine Flu Family Plan, put it away somewhere, but be sure other adults and older children know where it has been stored. Remember, you may be the family member who gets sick first, in which case someone else will need to begin implementing it.

As time passes, if you don't need your plans, you may want to pull them out on occasion to revisit them, just to be sure they are updated with any new information. For example, if your family gets swine flu vaccinations, you'll know there is less chance you'll get sick. In that case, you may not need so many days' worth of food stored away.

Spread the Word - Reach Out to Others

There may be other loved ones in your life who could benefit from H1N1 swine flu planning, too. Older parents who have trouble keeping up with medications or may not have enough food stored could use your help. Children away at college won't have thought to plan for swine flu. Help all of them by preparing their homes, dorm rooms or apartments for illness, too. For example, make sure they have a good supply of their medications, food and plenty of water on hand.

Still others may be perfectly capable of planning for being sick, but may not think to do it. Why not forward them a link to these guidelines?
