Stuck at Home with the Flu?

By January 10, 2013

Follow me on:

Ugh. I am so sorry. Whether you are sick yourself, or are nursing a loved one, being sick, or around sickness can be a miserable existence.

No, I'm not going to preach about getting a flu shot - if you've watched TV, listened to the radio or been on the web, you know that everyone else is taking care of that.

Instead, I'm going to keep you occupied and help you allay your boredom. When you've finally had too many naps and just need to do SOMETHING - but don't really have the brainpower to focus on anything heavy-duty, then you might be interested in this:

From snakeoil, to history, from counterfeit drugs, to GINA (? what's GINA?) - it's a sampler of interesting topics you can use to impress your family at the dinner table or friends in the bowling league....

What would you add to the list?

This’ll be off the wall but understandable given my end of life focus.

If you’re down w/the flu you can take heart that you’re not dying. Some years back a guy named Steve Price emailed me outa the blue to share his CD Awake. It’s a compilation of original songs, well written, performed, arranged and produced, about aging and dying. Amazingly, it’s possible to bop around (gently for the flu-ridden) to some of them.

I have no vested interest, I just like to promote other citizens’ advocacy work and Steve’s is spot on and unique.

Check it out at cdbaby.com/cd/steveprice .
