We frequently see articles about what individual patients can do to save money themselves on their healthcare. You know - save money on purchasing drugs, or how to choose a better health insurance plan, or the best way to save money in a health savings account....
But recently one reader wrote to me with her great suggestion about saving the entire healthcare system money - an idea that might just have some legs! So, it occurred to me that maybe others have great suggestions, too.
Yes, we can save money individually, although that's not easy. But what great ideas are there that save the entire system money? For example, how do we catch fraud? Or how do we make sure we aren't paying too much for some services - across the country?
