Medical Homes Roll Out the Welcome Mat

Thursday September 24, 2009

You may have heard the term "medical home" used during some of the healthcare reform conversations and speeches.

Patient-centered medical homes are a new twist on an old concept;  the concept of proactively taking care of patients as whole people, not just as series of body parts and organ systems. But more than that, they are an approach to care that should be welcomed by every patient who has ever been frustrated by the care they have received.

Medical homes are being established across the country.  Read about the patient-centered medical home, and then begin looking for one yourself.

Your care, and satisfaction level, will most definitely improve.
