Yes -- Fran Drescher played "The Nanny" on TV in the 1990s. As Fran Fine, the lovable nanny with that nasaly "Mistah Sheffield!" has moved on to other pursuits -- although it's often easy to find The Nanny in reruns. They are just as much fun.
But those other pursuits -- THAT's where Fran Drescher is making a real difference -- for women all over the world.
About two years ago, I first learned about Fran's misdiagnosis. I knew she was OK, and had eventually been correctly diagnosed, but I knew little more than that.
