Social networking has taken our days and nights by storm. No longer are we content to attend parties, enjoy time in the coffee shop, or even just sit and chat with our friends, family members and loved ones.
No. We find ourselves chatting online with all kinds of people -- some we know, many we don't know. We are human beings, and that makes most of us social beings, too.

I’m a social networking idiot. I admit it. Maybe one of these days when I’m not crazy busy I will try… I will probably have to take some vacation days.
Besides finding support on online websites, you can find so many friends who have chronic illnesses on social media! I find Twitter to be the easiest. You can search for certain key words such as “Lupus” or “disability” to find people, and people can find you the same way. There are also people on Twitter who have health blogs and do provide news on many diseases.
But the best thing about Twitter I have found are all of the friends you will meet with or without chronic illness who will offer support and friendship!
