Tis the Season... Here Comes the Flu!

Tuesday December 16, 2008

Too late. You didn't get your flu shot, and now.... you're running a fever, your head and body just ACHE, you can't breathe, your throat is sore.... you can't tell if you're cold and shivery or hot and sweaty....

Yes, there's a good chance you've got the flu. At the very least you've got some sort of upper respiratory crud. Doesn't it always seem to happen around the holidays?

I've put together some one-stop shopping for you to learn about the seasonal flu, answering questions such as:

  • What do I have to do if I get the flu?
  • How do I know if it's time to stay home from work or school?
  • Is it too late to get a flu shot?
  • I already got a flu shot, so why did I get the flu?
  • When is the flu not really the flu?
  • Where does flu come from? Who gets it first?
  • Does anyone track flu outbreaks?
  • What should I do if my child gets the flu? .... and others. Plus links to many other resources that can be helpful to you.

I am sorry you got the flu! But at least misery has a place to get more information.

Oh my, you just described how I am feeling right at this very moment. I have been sick with whatever, for 3 days now and am now missing work tomorrow because of it. Maybe you should do an article on how to miss work gracefully when you have the flu.
